I sat with my mom today and watched my kids play with my childhood Legos that she’s saved for 30 years and I’m grateful to have shared that experience.
Today I had lunch with my undergrad admissions counselor Anne who is one of the most influential people in my life. When family issues forced me to defer my college enrollment for a year, she called me every week to remind me that Knox was waiting for me. It kept me afloat during a time when I easily could have decided not to bother trying to have a better life. I told her neither of us would ever know how much she changed my life and who knows how many other hundreds of kids’ lives and we cried and it was really great.
I'm grateful for my daughter. She's 5 months old, and baths are the just the best thing ever. She has recently started to try and grab the water when it is poured to rinse her off. She doesn't know that she can't catch the water, but that doesn't stop her. She keeps trying to do the impossible. I think she's onto something with that.
Grateful that my parents are 79 and 81 and still in very good health and active, and that I live across the street from them and can spend a lot of time with them.
I’m grateful that I’m able to provide for myself everything that I need. My family is in fairly good health and I’m grateful I get to see them again soon when I visit.
I'm grateful for a weekend spent helping my daughter learn to use the potty! Not a done deal yet (somedays it feels like it never will be), but she made such great progress, and seeing her growing confidence is amazing :)
I’m grateful for my sweet dogs, having means to be on a work sabbatical that allows me to spend time w/my 79 yr old mom, that beaches are still free and accessible, that I don’t have to shovel anymore, and that there are other people in this world that value fairness, justice, and equality as much as I do.
I'm grateful for my family. Not just my husband and kids, but for my amazing mother & father, siblings, cousins, the whole shebang. Being part of such a supportive clan is so good for me and I love them all.
I’m grateful for every second I had w/ my chocolate lab, Gabby (2008-2020)

I’m grateful that our rescue pup, Penny, finally feels comfortable snuggling with me.

I'm grateful for my friends here in DC who were here to catch me when I fell hard last year.
Grateful for every day I get to spend with my son and see him grow.
Watched The Lighthouse and drank beer with a buddy this evening. Doesn’t happen often enough. Grateful for chill evenings like this.
